Fencing
Fencing is a safe and exciting sport derived from European sword training in the Middle Ages. Modern fencing uses three different weapons: the foil, epée and sabre. Each weapon carries different rules and different types of strikes. The idea of fencing is to make contact with your opponent and not get hit yourself. Therefore you must be able to move your feet quickly to reach your opponent and to avoid their attacks. You must also know how to use your blade in defence and how to penetrate your opponent’s defence. This is when tactics and trickery are critical.
